The product was exactly as expected. You don't have to use them but it does come with a lock nut in case theft is an issue in your area. (If someone steals your $15 valve stem caps, that's sad!)
Be aware these are shipped from Shanghi. I ordered them for Christmas and didn't notice that when ordering so they arrived a few days late. That was my only reason for not giving them 5 stars, the LONG shipping time that I didn't think was made extra clear when ordering.
