I've had a few other air chucks with gauges and they were fine. The only thing is they were always a two handed affair. One to hold the chuck in place and one to operate the air. Not with this one, the tire chuck bites on and holds great leaving you the freedom of one hand. It's also the most accurate I've used as sliding gauges wear out and leak. Also Amazon has the best price on this anywhere. The one I bought from Amazon was atcually my second one, the one for the house. As a homeowner, regularly in the garage, I really like this tool. Well made, better quality than I expected. And, yes the deflating valve is a major plus. Very handy for anyone who regularly uses a gauge and air valve chuck to fill and check tire pressure in many types of vehicles, trailers, and toys. Well worth the money. Much easier to read than stick gauges and digital read out devices.
