- Creates bead lock look
- Protects wheel rim from abrasions
- Easy bolt on installation
- For Rugged Ridge wheels only

I got a set of 4 of these to protect my rims when I go offroading since $30 part is much easier to replace/repaint if needed compared to the rims which are several hundred dollars :)
The info sheet for installing says to use no more than 6ft lbs of torque which I set my torque wrench to as directed. However on the first rim when I got to the last bolt, the head of the bolt snapped off before I even got it fully tightened into the rim! Now I've got one missing bolt head with the threaded part still in the rim so it looks a bit off. I can fix that but the reality is these bolts appear to be made of cheap materials so I actually dropped down my torque setting to just over 5ft lbs to avoid breaking any others in case that is why it broke. And for some reason, they use different style bolt heads from the ones in the rims...very odd. I may travel to home depot or lowes and look for better bolts.
The good news is, the first trail out in the Jeep I came back with a nice big gash on the rim protector instead of on the rim! So it definitely paid itself off right then and saved me several hundred dollars already. They are nice and heavy protectors so should hold up well over time and with those rocks and other objects that may want to attack a rim during offroad, and even those curbs that like to rash up the rims occasionally onroad ;)
