Sorry, couldn't resist the pun. Before ordering, I e-mailed the company to make sure I had the right size for my car -- their responses came from an aol address, were poorly formatted, and (though confident) were incorrect with the first guess.
I ordered what they suggested.
Fitment:
The product didn't fit the bolt pattern and the diameter was too big to fit inside the wheel. Even if it were correct, a lot of modern cars use weights inside the wheel and that would be difficult for install.
Concept:
The website states "order two pair" so you'll have them for rotations . . . but if you read closer, these are directional, and only wouldn't require removing/flipping sides if you have directional tires.
Quality:
Execution was very flimsy; these are terribly easy to bend and I was sure that I was going to break them, desipte being very careful. This could have easily been overcome by ridging the metal (sort of like how cymbals work). The only other thing to note is that it's easy to slice a finger with these while installing, so be careful.
Why two stars?
Well, Amazon got one of the stars -- if you REALLY want to try these out, buy them from Amazon, so if something's wrong, you're covered by their excellent customer service.
What else can you do?
My only problem with brake dust is that my front brakes dust over quickly and the backs end up being a different color if I don't clean them. The cheap thing is to keep them clean, and after cleaning, find some good wheel wax to apply, it'll keep them cleaner longer. Option B is get gunmetal or darker rims -- but that's a whole other investment.
