I bought my first set of Falken tires about 25 years ago for my first car when I was still in college because I wanted a 50 series tire but couldn't afford an expensive tire. The Falken brand wasn't very well known then but the tire guy told me that he had them on his car and they were decent tires. I was please with them as they lasted me through college and until I got rid of my first vechicle. I purchased these tires in size 285/40/22 for my 2000 Ford F150 about three years ago. I can say that the 460 tread wear is hold up true to form. I've driven about 25K miles on these tires and I'm certain I have another 25k-30k miles life still in them. Traction is excellent, ride is smooth, noise is not noticeable to me because I'm either blasting the sounds or my magna flow exhaust systems drowns out any road noise. So I can't honestly say whether or not the tires are noisy. The side walls of the tire seem to hold up very nice as I routinely hit turns pretty hard just to hear my mufflers howl. I will continue to buy this tire until it's not available. Falken has come a long way since my first car and I am still pleased with them as their technology and tires have improved over 2.5 decades. Do yourself a solid and purchase this tire for your truck and/or SUV.
