Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus Radial Tire - 235/50R18 97Z

  • Better all-weather performance versus the leading competitor.
  • Better wet handling versus the leading competitor.
  • Performance grip with 45,000-mile warranty.

This isn't my first set of Michelin's that didn't perform as well as other brands and this particular set was the Pilot Sport AS+

I was on an exit ramp when it just started to rain, my car rocketed into a guard rail, it was totaled. I wasn't drunk or anything and the almost new tires I bought for the back (rear engine/rear wheel drive) had just over 4,000 miles on them.

I talked to Michelin and they said for any consideration they'd have to have the tires. Now hth is anyone gonna obtain tires from a wreck. hmm, excuse me officer, mind if I I'll jack up the car, pull the wheel, and pry off the tire (4x) before the tow truck gets here while I answer your questions. Not to mention dragging the tires home x# miles.

This was a Porsche 911, an exceptional handling car and while one shouldn't expect "performance" in rain, these were noticeably worse than other brands.

Oddly enough, the mechanic that I use suggested that I buy tires online after he was unable to find any local distributors with any tires that fit our 2006 Mustang GT. I checked Consumer Reports for highly rated tires and then cross-referenced the list with the available stock of online tire retailers. The winner was USA WHEEL AND TIRE OUTLET #2 INC, which had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. The tires arrived quickly, were exactly as anticipated, and, 2+ months later, the tires are performing well. I'm very pleased with the tires and the price I was charged.
