I bought this to monitor the pressures and temperatures of the tires on my travel trailer. I had concerns that it would have difficulty communicating the distance required, but it seems to work pretty good. It will lose it for a little bit hear and there in areas where there is likely other wireless interference, but where I take the travel trailer that's rarely a problem. Do realize that although it is capable of measuring pressures from 0-76psi, the max it will let you set the alarm value to is 60psi. Since I have load range D tires that are meant to be at 65psi when cold (and then go up to about 70psi at highway speeds) the alarm is always going off. But, you can just tap the screen to turn off the audible alarm and you're still able to use all the functions just fine. This wasn't the case with the first TPMS that I bought. On that one once the alarm went off you couldn't view any other data, including the temperatures which is part of what I wanted to see. As far as the tire pressure and temperature monitoring portion of this device goes I am very satisfied. However, the included GPS leaves something to be desired. If you're buying this in hopes of a nice GPS you will likely be disappointed. I really didn't care about the GPS and just viewed it as an added bonus. It does work, but the software is definitely not as good as most commercially available GPS devices.

I received this product as a gift and was thinking about purchasing one for a friend of mine. Amazon has the best pricing I can find.
I would like to point out that the other review is correct, you do need to turn the item on when you start your car. Perhaps some would think this is tedious but I like that it reminds me to think about my tire pressures before driving away. Also, I recently needed a map update and was shocked that I was not charged for the initial update (unlike some other GPS suppliers). The added blue tooth capability on this item has been a benefit that I have come to rely on almost as much as the GPS feature.
All in all very pleased.
