I like the convenience of having these handy. That being said, I had to buy some hard rubber ones, for two reasons:
1- They are somewhat slippery. Unless the weight of the trailer gets on it before it starts slipping, it becomes useless (no matter how well you jam it under the tire), especially on slick concrete or re-sealed asphalt.
2- They are actually too attractive. Someone I know had them stolen from under his trailer. I guess you could tie them to the trailer.
