the brake dust shield works well. i haven't seen LESS brake dust so far, but when i wash the wheels the dust comes off A LOT easier than before. very little to no scrubbing, it just wipes right off. i think i read some place there's some sort of magnetic charge or bond that's formed that keeps the brake dust from attaching too deeply/firmly to the wheel, hence the easy wipe off. my guess is my wheels will look nice longer over time if i keep using this stuff. doesn't hurt that it's eco friendly, non-toxic, etc....

Applied the product after using the wheel cleaner (which worked about as well as any other wheel cleaner I've used - still had a couple spots of black). It's been two weeks and there's a noticable difference in the amount of brake dust left on my front wheels - the back wheels are normally clean as the front brakes do most of the work. While there IS brake dust on my wheels, it's more uniform, so the wheels do not look as dirty. There aren't large dark patches toward the gaps in my wheel, which always occured in the past.I wiped an area of the wheel, and the brake dust came right off without any hard rubbing. Don't expect a miracle, but if you're really concerned about how clean your wheels look, this "wheel" (will) help. For your average Joe Schmo though, I'm not sure I'd spend money on any wheel cleaner, I'd just wash them with my car.
Nice to know this doesn't harm the environment though.
