MICHELIN LTX M/S 2 4PLY OW - P265/70R17 113T

  • Tire Type: HIGHWAY ALL SEASON

No wonder why Michelins cost so much. They try to compete with other brands but actually if they rated their price based on other tire manufacturers and what they offered, Michelin's would cost three times their price.

They are a silica type of rubber and people report over 70,000 miles with their 70k rated tires. I took off my 285/70r17 Nitto 12 ply rocks and put on the 265/70R17 MS2's. Don't need the ten ply 121R heavier tire because that needs to be loaded all the time for comfort. OR you will feel every bump. The 4 ply MS2's are 113T rated and still very substantially stiff enough to haul more than your 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton pickup can safely carry. Mine went on an extended cab long bed Silverado 4x4. Could not believe the difference. That bridge metal joint in the road that used to jarr my teeth now feels like running over a shadow. The ride is so quiet that I almost fell asleep so I turned on the radio. Just an outstanding and properly engineered comfortable tire.

They also stop and hold the road in wet conditions like they were Velcro. Get an alignment check and/or service so you'll wear these to the maximum. If you have a very heavy truck you may want to go to the 10 ply 121R but your speed will be limited due to the speed rating. Very harsh ride as expected on lighter trucks because they're made for more than you would carry full time. Even if you did your bearings and other suspension would take a beating. I absolutely love the ride on these Mickey's and have stayed with that brand for most of my new tire replacements.

Shop around as I paid $1100 with alignment total out the door and free flat tire repair for 3 years and free towing up to 150 miles. Even beat Tire Kingd by almost 200 where I am. Just shop. The sipe technology is superb and you won't find a better riding tire.
