Vw new beetle and picked the 14.317 kit which amazon says doesn't fit the car. Problem is the amazon figment guide is just too limited, when it says it won't fit what hat means is they have not verified its fit so really they don't know.
You need to research your own fitment
14. Is the spam sport winter traction series.
Then measure your lug bolt head diameter. The vw small cars appear to have 17mm bolts in the beetle, golf, Jett's, etc. then you just need the tire size for the last piece of the puzzle. Using the amazon fitment guide I found that using the tire size and looking what matched that tire size. I also used the Swiss spider spikes site to get sizing. That told me the sport med was the right size, so only the bolt head diameter needed to be chosen.
So despite amazon indicating there is no SPM series solution for the vw new beetle I can tell you the 14.317 is the right kit.
The deductions come for the extra work in installing. The kit comes with a gauge to help you figure out which standoff a to use to put your plat on. Problem is those instructions assume a general shape in the rim that isn't always true. The guide said I needed to use depth 2, but I found out with lots of trial and error that depth 4 or 5 was needed. So take care and work your way through the sizes to the one that let's the plat clear your rim spokes. You may well have to go deeper than the kit guide indicates. Also, having to add 4 stages of slack in the links to allow the locking in of the center catch hub.
