I got this gauge for a friend who is a relatively-new driver/car-owner. It's just the right size to fit in a glove compartment and is quite accurate (I compared it to a lot more-expensive racing-quality gauge I have). It was a very good buy for me, and a great gift for my friend.

I purchased this because I wanted something a little more accurate than the traditional pressure gauge with the stick that comes out. The dial shows a mark for every 2 pounds. I get a consistent reading but that reading is exactly 4 pounds off. A 40 psi reading on the gauge is actually 44 psi in my tire. Not the accuracy I had hoped for. It's funny the back of the package cautions not to over-inflate but that's impossible to do with this gauge. It's going back to the store. It turns out the gauge I have with the little stick that pops out is more accurate than this one. If you're looking for a gauge that provides an accurate reading then keep shopping.

On the flip side it does appear to be fairly solid and the button does keep the reading on the gauge until depressed.
