The tire carrier is well made and seem pretty sturdy so far. The big reason I purchased this was the fact that it was a good price compared to the other swing out tire carriers and I didn't have to do any modifications to my Jeep to get it on except for changing out the bumper. I've read other reviews that stated that the carrier is somewhat crooked when installed on the matching bumper... Mine had the same problem, but it's nothing major.
The other reason I purchased this tire carrier was the fact that I wanted it for the jerry can carrier option for a trip that I am taking. Unfortunately, the Blitz style jerry cans do not exist anymore because of regulations AND the NATO can adapters no longer exist. I have tried different websites and they may be advertised as being available, but they are drop shipped from Body Armor which does not make them anymore. I had to fabricate my own brackets in order to use the option.
There is some rattling from the the tire carrier, but it's from the brackets that hold down the jerry cans. The rattling isn't so distracting when the top is up. Overall a good product, but I would have purchased something else if I knew the cans were no longer readily available.
