I actually needed part #974-009 and Amazon graciously accepted the return of this 974-006. I called Dorman to make sure that I obtained the right one for my 2008 Malibu. The unit works well. The only aggravation is that our Federal Gov't mandated these TPMS devices for all new cars, so every 5-7 years they must be replaced (Sam's Club installed mine for free as a member and previous tire buyer!) . At least Amazon offers a good selection and price!

It did not work for my 2004 Tahoe. Walmart had the part and it cost about $35 installed. Several mechanics said it was the incorrect part.
