I purchased this tire tool because I was tired of paying $15 to $25 to have a small lawn mower tire repaired. That is if you can find a shop that will do it. More than once I've been told "We doan mess wid dem dar small tars." Or if you do find a shop that will do it the job goes to the least senior employee or whoever the boss is mad at that day. The result being that you get a tire back with a rim so beat up it won't hold air.
I used this tool to fix the back tire on my John Deere GT 245 lawn mower. I also used it to fix the tire on a dolly/hand cart. It's paid for itself already.
The tool performed flawlessly. The only problems I had with the tires was my lack of experience. It's been at least 40 years since I removed a tire from it's rim. My project was successful due to this tool. My tires are still holding air. In fact I intend to tell my neighbors if they have a small tire that needs fixed I'll do it for them. I'm retired and have the time.
The tool itself is of high quality metal. It never once showed signs of bending and it's spoon slipped easily in between the rim and the tire.
Recommendation; It's good for small tires but I'm not sure I'd want to use it on a really big tire. Someone with more experience than I would probably have no problem with it.
