I bought these tires for my wife's 2009 Ford Edge Sport. I have no idea why I ever bought 22" rims, but they came factory. They also came with Pirelli Scorpion tires. Those cost about twice what these cost. Again, these tires are not on a sports car, so I cannot talk to their "extreme" performance.
First, the good: these tires ride smooth, hold the road as well as the old tires and cost much less. When I had them put on, the person putting them on called them "aggressive" and said they would be "loud". I have no idea what that means, but I cannot tell any difference from the old tires to these. Also, the old tires were almost bald after 36K miles. I figure if these tires last even half as long (though I am sure they will last at least 36K) then I didn't lose any $. So far I have used them in normal conditions, rain and about 1" of snow. They are a bit slick on the white stuff, but I wouldn't say any more than any other tire. All in all, a pretty good buy. Shipping was free, but not 2-day. They cost me about $25 a tire to install, so factor that in when comparing prices.
Now the not-so-good: I gave them 4 stars not 5 not because of the tires, but the shipping. The tires came UPS, but they came "signature required". To change that, I would have had to pay UPS extra, or take off from work and wait at home. I don't mind that they come this way (there are plenty of crooks out there, so extra security is ok by me) but this should have been pointed out BEFORE shipping so that I could have a chance to ship them to my work. Just a little note for the future.
All in all, when these tires wear down, I will definitely order more and from the same place.
